Here are some quick ways to stop the overwhelm and get back the energy in your life. If you consciously pay attention to what/who lights your fire and what/who puts out your fire, you will effortlessly increase the energy in your life.
1. Identify A people in your life. These are your fuse lighters. They build you up. They believe in you. They support you. You know someone is in the A category if you feel better about you after being with them than before. They really add to you.
2. Identify B people in your life. The people on your B list are neutral. They are there, part of your network, they have a place and you don’t want to ignore or abandon them. You know someone is in the B category if you feel about the same after being with them than before. They don’t add anything to you.
3. Identify C people in your life The people on your C list, really need to go in the circular file, to be released. Granted, that’s not always possible. But these wetblankets only drain you, anger you, pressure you, and pull you down.
4. List everyone in your extended network and identify each one as A, B or C. Which do you have more of? Why? Notice the balance or lack of balance in your lists?
5. Spend more time with A people. They will empower you, energize you, inspire you and give you strength to achieve your goals.
6. Minimize time with C people. They can only drain you and take away your dreams. Why do you want to sabotage your self to please someone else? You can’t avoid a negative spouse or parent forever, just minimize the energy impact they have on your life.
7. Stop the people leaks in your energy network. The people leaks in your energy network can take the form of telephone calls, Instant-Messages, cell-phone access, meetings, or interruptions. You decide who you want to share your time and energy with, so take back control of when/how and who you choose to communicate with.
8. Stop the things leaks in your energy network. Lots of things have become leaks in our energy network as well. For example, reading email and responding can take 1-2 hours in the morning instead of 15 minutes. Junk mail in your inbox or mailbox can become a mountain of reading every day. Just because it comes to you does not mean you are required to read it. It is time consuming and clutters your mind and focus with things that are not on your Important list for the day. Physical clutter/chaos is distracting and draining as well, get organized.
9. Stop the habit leaks in your energy network. There are lots of habits in our society that drain our energy network and we don’t even notice until we try to change the habit or give it up. Some examples are TV, junk food, chat-rooms, computer games. It is a choice, either you want to increase the energy in your life or you want to keep doing the same things expecting different results. You can’t have it both ways.
10. Magnetize the possibilities. This is the simplest and most powerful way to increase your energy. What you think about you bring about. Use the Law of Attraction to create what you want without the restrictions of what anyone else says is or isn’t possible.
