Affiliate or Associate Programs
First we'll look at one of the easiest and most popular ways to earn money on the Internet. It’s called Affiliate or Associate Programs. Even if you don't have your own web site, but are able to send emails, talk to friends or even write letters and you can begin earning good money by joining an affiliate/associate program.
Basically an affiliate/associate program offers you the opportunity to promote other people's products/services whenever you send an email, write a letter, talk to a friend, etc. This is what is known as a "promotional campaign." Experienced Webmasters of businesses, known as merchants, use affiliate/associate programs constantly to increase their traffic. By traffic, we mean the number of people who visit their site. There are many good affiliate/associate programs out there that don't cost anything to join and for which some merchants pay you a fee just for bringing someone to their site. Other merchants offer you a percentage of any sales generated by your lead.
In the course of our constant and on-going research, one of the very best resources for finding out about affiliate/associate programs, especially if you're new to the Internet, is http://www.affiliateprimer.com

Email Discussion Groups or Forums
If you choose to stay with just writing emails, there are many email discussion groups and forums in which you can participate and which allow you to use at least a "Resource Box" at the end of your email to subtly promote these products/services. You can find these groups by entering "email discussion groups" or "email forums," with the quotation marks because they will narrow the results, in any Search Engine.
We do recommend that you take time to follow any discussion group and/or forum for a while first, just to get a feel for the "tone", how they're run and if any kind of advertising is allowed, before you begin participating. Some groups/forums are adamantly opposed to any kind of advertising and you could get "flamed" if you’re not careful. Meaning, receive a whole lot of negative email. So again, take time to investigate these groups. That way, you'll know where you can contribute information about your chosen products/services and you'll avoid creating "unpleasant" consequences for yourself.
Resource Box
Do yourself a favor right now, create what is known as a "Resource Box." This is basically a short, 6 to no more than 8 line, "blurb" about what product or service you're promoting and how people can contact you to learn more. Don’t make it appear to be an ad, even though that's just what it is. When done correctly, a subtle Resource Box is perfectly acceptable pretty much anywhere you use your email. Again, always check beforehand.
Choose your words very carefully. Make them exciting and enticing! Your objective is to get others to contact you so you can interact with them individually. Be sure to include this Resource Box, even when you're mailing your friends and associates. You never know when you may have just the product/service they're looking for!
